Dr. Jatis Kumar Dash is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh, India. He received his Ph.D.  from the Institute of Physics (IOP), Bhubaneswar under the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. He did his first post-doc at Dept. of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), New York, USA. After spending 3 years (2012 to 2015), he moved to Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering, Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea for his second postdoc (2016-2017). He was awarded Korea research Fellow (KRF) from the National Research Foundation, Korea in the year 2016.

His research areas mainly focus on experimental Condensed matter Physics, in particular, the fabrication of large-area 2D layered materials (TMDs, TMOs, and Mxenes) heterostructures and their device applications, i.e. Solar cells, field-effect transistors (FETs), photodetectors, sensors etc.
